Half Way!

This year is flying! I am now 20 weeks pregnant with a very active little girl.

She's healthy. Everything is in its place. Now I spend my evenings putting things like remotes on my belly to watch her move it.

M wanted a boy. It took him all of half a day to come around and get excited with the fact he is having a little girl.

So now here comes the pink. People have bought us things. Midi now has a fluffy pink bunny in her wardrobe.

I love her already. It's such an amazing feeling.

It's been a long time.

I think my last post was about our wedding or honeymoon. It's been so long since I've read my own blog I've forgotten where I was up to.

M and I have grown up. Our marriage survived the first year and just after that in January we found out we are expecting our first child. I am now 11 weeks pregnant.

To my little one in my belly:

Daddy and I haven't seen you yet. Your first viewing is next week and Mummy is so scared that something has happened to hurt you.

Most mornings you make Mummy sick. Ginger remedies, eating small meals etc don't really work. Instead Mummy craves grease and carbs to counter act the sickness and to make her feel better. Next week is when the first trimester ends.... I'm hoping the sickness goes with it but it makes me a little more sure that you are thriving in there.

We've only told a few people about you. It's our secret. We hypothesise, plan and probably idealise what it is going to be like when you come into the world. Next week we get to hear the squeals of excitement from our family and friends. I can't wait to share that joy

Daddy secretly wishes for a son but I am happy with whatever you are. I know if you are a girl you will be Daddy's little girl .

In another respect we have also grown up. We are now home owners. The discovery of our new addition put some fire to our search and we now own a beautiful unit that will be ours in April. I can't wait to set it up for Midi. (His/Her Name for the moment)

That is all for the moment. Until next week and Midi has its close up!

Hunter Valley

M and I went up to the Hunter Valley for the long weekend. I was a little bit strategic about it in that we went up on Sunday and came back today, missing the crowds and traffic.

The Hunter is my favourite place to go. It isn't far away from Sydney, I can taste lots of yummy wines and there is great food to be had.

First Stop  Briar Ridge

Piggs Peake Winery
My favourite wine of the weekend was the Riesling and 'Pigscato' from Piggs Peake. AMAZING ! so nice and smooth!
My little haul

Tomorrow is Offspring day. Or Wednesday. Or Matt LeNevesday. Thursday is also known as the day we talk about the benefits of Dr Patrick Reid and the disappointment that our Dr's at work don't have his charm. That conversation also is accompanied by the benefits of Dr Patrick vs The Commando. We are VERY productive in the first hour of Thursdays.

What's happening

It's been a while since my last post. Mainly because my life has been pretty unenventful.
I did however get a new phone.
My old one had stopped listening to me.
I am pretty sure that it just decided that it was the day after I bought it and I was already behind the times. Not really. I had it for 2.5 years and it gave up the ghost.
So now I have the prettiful Samsung Galaxy 3.
I could have bought the 4 but I really didn't want to spend that much money on a phone.

I have also been running. I did a 2.5k fun run in 17:30min. Not the fastest cookie but I managed to be 4th in my age group which I thought was awesome.
I have joined a new gym which has been great. The classes are great, at good times and it is near work so hopefully I will get into it. I am more into the fitness side of things i.e. running further, doing push-ups on my toes etc.

M has been finding his fitness too. He has biceps now... and forearm muscles. Awesome!
This is what we do now that we are married , not yet buying a house and not planning a baby.

That's me

My Happy

I ran in a fun run yesterday. Only 2.5km but for me that is pretty good. It wasn't a great time but apparently I am the 3rd fastest of the slow people in my age category. This means I get a medal!!! I haven't won anything for sport since primary school. M came 9th in his age group and I whipped his butt by 20seconds.

That is my happy for the day!

My medal will come in the mail soon because I didn't wait for the presentations.

Happy Monday Everyone!

Hobbies

Heya,
It's been a while since my last post. I've recently been doing a couple of cupcake/ cake decorating courses to fill in some time.

I'm not very good but some of them have turned out very right. It's fun to have a skill that doesn't have anything to do with work.
Halloween

Piggy Bank!

Piggy!

Turtle

Easter Cupcakes

Car cake from last week
Baby Shower cupcakes. M was very quick to write something about it not meaning anything when I put it on facebook.
My latest creation for tomorrow. A morning tea for a friend at work who is moving to Tamworth.

Other than that I have been training for a fun run. I can't get very far so I have signed up for the 2.5k Oatley Park fun run. I have been training every couple of days and every day  is a little bit better. I think it is a more of mind over matter. I have done tougher things than this course. I just give up too easily. So 28th April I will be able to do it without stopping. I just want to be able to finish without dying! This gorgeous weather lately has made it easier to get out and get moving. I just have to stop eating chocolate. My work is the worst for this as our patients are always giving us sugar! Will power muscle !

That's all

Getting a hobby

Post wedding blues exists.
It has been 3 months since we entered wedding bliss.
It's not a sadness.
It is just that a large part of our lives has happened already.
A lot is yet to come of course and that is really exciting!
This post isn't supposed to be sad so here is what I have been doing.

Work: I am making progress in a presentation I have to make in two weeks at a national conference. I am super nervous about it but it will definitely be a good thing to put on my resume.

Home: M and I have been looking at some real estate. We are still saving but it is good to be out there looking at what's around.

Outside: I have started a new cup cake decorating course. It is only beginners part 2. A continuation from one I did at the end of 2011.

I'm not very good yet but these were pretty easy to make under a great teacher.
Next week are baby shower cakes which will be cool.

Anyway that is me.
